A sign advertises the Jimi Hendrix Signature Series Edition launch event at the Hard Rock Cafe Seattle in Seattle Thursday Feb. 9, 2012.
I was shooting an assignment at the Hard Rock Cafe. One of shot on my list was to get images of the signage. Shooting through a window, I got this picture. For some reason I really like the picture and that is because of the walker on sidewalk. I don’t know if it works, but I like it. The neon sign probably added to it as well.

Elvis Andrus #1 of the Texas Rangers, right, is congratulated by teammate Josh Hamilton #32 after hitting a solo home run against the Seattle Mariners during a game at Safeco Field on September 17, 2011 in Seattle, WA.
Photographed the Seattle Mariners against the Texas Rangers last weekend. Texas is really good … again. Seattle not so much. Though they show some promise early on. Out of the playoff race the Mariners are playing mostly rookies, etc. Here are some pictures.

I was photographing a dinner event for a client and saw this image. I only shot two frames before several people started walking down the hall and I got back to work. It appeals to me, but I’m not sure why. It communicates the irony that we are all connected like never before, yet we are just as isolated as ever in some ways. I also like that the picture is relatively clean and the lines seem to move a viewer’s eye around the image.

A new web site … A fresh start … Well sort of …
With the help of Ohio University student Joel Hawksley and Associated Press Seattle staff photographer Ted Warren, I have a new and easier to update website than my old Franken site, which probably would make most coders ill from sheer inelegance. Joel, who is a good photographer himself (check out pictures from a bicycle race on his Sportsshooter page http://www.sportsshooter.com/members.html?id=8226) designed the theme and put up with my tweaks requests and Ted, with his keen photo editing eye, helped me edit the galleries, so that viewers don’t have to be subjected to any more of my photography than absolutely necessary. Please let me know if encounter any bugs or have any questions. Or for that matter have any suggestions. I hope you enjoy a new sleeker look. I hope to add a multimedia section later.
